I have worked across the globe for many of the world’s major apparel brands, including Victoria’s Secret, Chico’s, Justice, and Hanes. I’ve earned thousands of airline points and worn out several suitcases visiting factories in more than 20 countries to ensure that production is of the highest standard. During my years as an apparel maven, I managed all aspects of garment production, from design through fabric development to sewing and merchandising– so I am pretty sure of what it takes to make high-quality apparel. I like to share this knowledge about clothes to help discerning customers choose the finest products.
I’m a co-owner of Little Grippers USA; we make socks with a revolutionary new Stay-On Technology that keeps baby socks on and kids’ socks up. I also guest blog for Lucky & Me, a brand of fine quality underwear for girls and boys. I’ll be blogging about these products and others that I think are suitable for children.
I’ve also been a parent for more than 20 years. This in no way makes me an expert, but I do like to think about what I’ve learned as a mom to one son, two step-sons, and a 10-year-old girl. The perils of raising kids in the internet age were just becoming known when my oldest was a boy and now our daughter has peers with Instagram accounts. Teaching her about life in a world which she knows can be a dangerous place is a constant challenge.
I can’t post pictures of our daughter but will talk about her from time-to-time and refer to her as “Munchkin” – her choice!
